Apron Strings As a messy cook myself, I always wear an apron. I usually wear a full apron, neck to knees, again, I mentioned I was a messy cook. When I saw all these fantastic aprons hanging I wondered how many meals they had they prepared in their lifetime? Who made them? Who were the women that wore them? How many noses had they wiped and how many tears had they dried? Some with pockets and some with lace. Some well worn and some looked new. 02.15.12 = More Photo’s Please Okay, Okay, I’ve been hearing some disappointment in my lack of posting a Daily Post. My apologies to those who like it and my apologies for those who do not, because I am making the promise to post more. Some days I wonder if anyone really reads this or not so I kind of slacked off, but I’ve run into a few of you and you mentioned that you liked my Daily Post so… and besides, I like doing it so what the heck. I have to admit, my biggest obstacle has been a lack of new images, I just don’t have many new things right now. I just have to put on my creative cap and get going right? Right! 12.21.09 = I love these old ornaments. They remind me of my grandmothers tree and all the Christmas’ we spent at the country house. There was love, food and an endless parade of guests coming by for a visit. There was always coffee on the stove and the stories that were told…well, you can’t make that kind of stuff up. Quite a bit of ‘Life” has been going on. With work and the death of my Uncle to work to the holidays to work….to say the least, it’s been a bit stressful. The one thing I love has had to take the backseat for a while, but…I’M BACK!

12.19.11 = “…he knows when you’re awake…” Well, he knows I couldn’t sleep last night. I finally fell asleep at 6:30am when my neighbor was leaving for work! Needless to say I’m just exhausted today. I was so tired too, my eyes were closed but my brain just wouldn’t shut down. I’m so glad it’s a rare occasion for me. I really feel for people with chronic insomnia.
