Rainbow Ribbons I remember as a child the beautiful glassware that my grandmother and my mother had and kept on the highest self of the cabinet. They only used them for special occasions such as Easter and Christmas or if a special guest were in town. On those occasions, they would carefully take them off the shelf and hand wash them with care. They would sparkle and shine and show off rainbow ribbons on the counter. You just knew whatever they made to put into these crystal wonders was their “special” dish for the day. You know the one, the one with the special family secret ingredient that everyone raves about. As you know this coming Sunday is Mothers Day. So, I would like to dedicate my photo of the day this week to all the mothers out there. Thank you for making things so beautiful and for all those special moments. We remember and appreciate you. “Thou art thy mother’s glass, and she in thee Calls back the lovely April of her prime.” William Shakespeare
