09.17.10 = A bowl of O’s It seems that lately, I have become a “breakfast person” I’ve never been a big breakfast person, I’m more of a “lunch person”. And really, who isn’t a “dinner person”? My breakfast used to only consist of a few cups of coffee or an OJ. But these past several months, I’m really liking my breakfast. I love eggs scrambled, fried on a sandwich or an omelet with ham and cheese but never over easy. I don’t like runny eggs. A good bowl of cereal with a cup of yogurt or toast with peanut butter. My favorite is biscuits with sausage gravy like my grandmother made. Yummm, but you can’t eat that but every once in a while. Pancakes are another favorite that I only eat every once in a while. Too much sugar that early is a bad thing. Beacon, sausage and ham, yummm. Okay, who’s getting hungry? They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and I tend to agree. I always feel so much better after a good breakfast. Why is it that so many of us skip breakfast? Companies give us a lunch hour, they should give us a breakfast hour. Just a little food for thought. “A woman is as old as she looks before breakfast.” Edgar Watson Howe (What do you bet he was a bachelor?)
01.10.10 = Ummmm, hot chocolate! We interrupt this fruit series for a nice hot cup of hot chocolate! I love hot chocolate, it keeps you warm for hours. This photo was a special request from a friend of mine. This one is for you George! Sorry for the late post, busy weekend.
01.01.10 = HAPPY NEW YEAR! Good bye to 2009 hello 2010! It’s a new year and a fresh beginning. 2009 was a rough year for so many of us and I think everyone is happy to see it go. I hope that 2010 is a more prosperous year for us all. So raise your glass and ring in the new year! “For last year’s words belong to last year’s language, And next year’s words await another voice. And to make an end is make a new beginning.” T.S. Eliot
