09.07.09 = Well, after Labor Day, I feel that summer is officially over and it’s time to buckle down and get back in to a normal routine. Summer is fickle in that it reminds me of childhood; carefree and running barefoot in the grass; popsicles melting down your hand and the coolness you feel on your warm, tan skin after your evening bath. With Autumn approaching and the changing of the air, I find myself excited for what is on the horizon; sweatshirts and football games, sleeping with windows open, buried under blankets, pumpkin fields and the turning of leaves. So long summer, see you next year. “By all these lovely tokens September days are here, With Summer’s best of weather And autumn’s best of cheer.” Helen Hunt Jackson
