06.18.15 = Before

This is a quick shot of Gracie having fun, running and playing BEFORE she ruptured her ACL on Sunday. Yep, she ruptured her ACL (CCL in dogs) and is having surgery today to repair it. She let out two loud yelps when it happened and she hasn’t been able to put weight on it all week. Needless to say, it's been difficult for her to do her business with only one back leg to support her. So I'm getting the house prepared for her homecoming tomorrow. Getting the baby-gates out so she won't attempt the stairs. Getting her bed and blankets all washed and moved downstairs. Looks like I'll be doing some sofa-sleeping for several nights so I can be next to her. Just one of life's unexpected obstacles.
