01.06.12 = Flashback Friday – And Baby makes 3!
Through the years I have often heard my mother and father talk about their first car; a pink Ford Thunderbird. They speak so fondly about it; you would think it was a beloved family member that passed away. And I guess in a way, it was. A young, newly married couple, riding around in the hottest thing on four wheels, I can only imagine. But, baby makes 3 and in a hot little two-seater convertible, the numbers add up to 1 too many. So the little pink Thunderbird made way for a more “practical” Ford sedan and so the story goes. I guess if we are looking to blame someone, we could blame my sister for being born but then there wouldn’t of been baby 2, 3 or 4, so that serves no purpose. Oh well, not to worry, they have their 196? Mustang convertible now to tool around in, a very nice consolation prize.
