2011 the daily post - photo journal

I've named this gallery "The Daily Post" but I can't promise that I will post every day. This gallery is more of a journal of what's going on in my little section of this world we all share. Some days the photo may be better than the commentary and others, the commentary is much better than the photo. It's just a way to combine two of my favorite things, photography and speaking my mind. 07.29.11 = Flashback Friday 1995 Emerald Isle, North Carolina<br />

Since we are in the prime of Summer, I thought I needed to reach back and grab a beach photo for Flashback Friday and this is one of my favorites. This one is of my two nieces, Katie and Kirby at ages 5 and 3, who are now, 21 and 19, boy how time flies. As I remember, it was evening and we had all had a long day on the beach. Margaritas were in the blender for all of us adults and we had a dance party going on up on the deck. Their favorite song that summer was “Big Girls Don’t Cry” by Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. I can’t tell you how many times we had to play that song for them! However, it did come in handy when we had to get a splinter out of Kirby’s hand. Such great times and memories and photographs to prove it. <br />
