09.29.10 = Wake-up call!
With the wonderful change in weather this week comes the enormous pressure of a vice grip squeezing my head. The past several mornings, it’s been difficult to raise my head off the pillow. I guess that’s what I get for sleeping with the windows open. The cool damp air comes and settles in and I sleep like a baby but in the morning… In the morning is when I feel like I’ve been out partying with the guys from Motley Crue in an all nighter. Good grief. But just when I think I can’t move and it’s best just to stay in bed, I’m reminded of a conversation my sister and I had the other week. She said she too was feeling crummy one morning and was lying there debating if she was going to call in sick or not. Then she thought about her colleague who has cancer and going through another round of chemo; She will be there. She makes it to work every day. Suddenly our issues paled in comparison and we get going with our day. It’s a wake-up call.
“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” John Quincy Adams

on October 1, 2010Yup! He's a Rooster.. Proud. Posed. Strong.
Health on the other hand is a fragile thing. Why is it so easy to take granted? Nice lesson.
