I think this old wagon has seen better days, or maybe just the good old days. The days when kids played outside and not in. The days when your mother kicked you out of the house to go play with the all the other kids on the block. The days when your only concept of time was when you got hungry or the street lights turned on, then you knew it was time to go home. We rode our bikes in the street without helmets. We raced our wagons, scooters and skateboards down the big hill and we have all the scars today to prove it and remember those victory’s, those kids, those good old days.

on October 2, 2010What a great find. Love the rust. Yep, had my bike, was up and down the street, came home for lunch but only just long enough to eat, back out in the hood again, home for a band-aid. Scar on my left elbow proves it:-) Wow, sorry, but I can so relate. Not that way for kids today!

on October 1, 2010Great shot for childhood memories. My dad made us little carts that we raced down a steep hill in a field, at times went under the cow standing in the way, crashed regularly and no one ever broke a bone even when coming to a very abrupt halt!

on October 1, 2010great catch, commentary and quote. Sad. I remember the freedom of childhood. My older kids had more freedom (on Sand Dune in Monterey, Co....) but sometimes I feel El Jay is a prisoner here.
