09.05.10 = Well-read (for the “Reading” challenge)
Some things are so familiar such as the characters in our favorite books. We never tire of reading about the lives of our favorite heroines standing up to injustice or the unraveling of a deep family plot in our favorite murder mystery books. We become a part of their lives as we read them and they are ever a part of ours. I remember my mother reading to us almost every night when we were young. We always asked for the same stories over and over. Even though we had memorized the stories word for word, we still wanted to hear them. It’s those familiar stories and characters that we can relate to that put our minds at ease. The “Reading” challenge was initiated by Deb (Larkphoto) for today. Thanks Deb, I think I will go to the bookshelf today!
