09.12.10 = A second look
This is not the photo I had originally chosen to post today. But as it rolled by on my screensaver I said, “Wo, wo, wo, what was that?” It took me a while to find it among the few thousand shots of butterflies I have. I shot this one back at the end of July when the cone flowers were at their prime. I’m not sure why I didn’t post it. I love the tight shot of the butterfly and the color of the cone flowers in the background. And the composition of the slight curve of the flower stem. Maybe I just wasn’t feeling it that week or something, who knows but I did give it a second look. I think this is true in life as well. We all make a snap judgments at times based on our mood and what it going on around us. With this hurry, hurry world we live in you have to make many decisions quickly and on the fly. But given a second look at another time, who knows, you may see the picture differently.
“Good judgment comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgment.” Unknown.

on September 13, 2010This goes back to that discussion about looking at your pictures after a few days. Sometimes one will appeal to you that didn't catch your fancy the day you shot it.
Very nice. Glad you found it.
