06.20.10 = My Dad
As I sit here this morning deciding on a photo to post today for Fathers Day, I know just how lucky I really am to have such an amazing man for my father. We have always been very close. He has been those loving arms that held me when I fell off my bike and the loving arms that held me when I was going through my divorce. His love for his family stands above all. When I was young I remember going with him on Saturday morning errands. We would go to the bank the cleaners and various places. I loved our little chats just one on one. With four girls, I was his “outside” helper. I was the one to help him mow the grass and trim. He was my softball coach for many years and still talks about my “triple play”. As I grew older and out of my little tomboy stage, he came to every football game and basketball game that I cheered in high school. Our mutual love for photography took us out on weekends shooting together. His wicked sense of Irish humor and quick wit always keeps us on our toes and laughing. “It’s better to be a smart ass than a dumb ass”, is accredited to him and just one of many Dadisms. I love you dad; happy Fathers Day!!
