09.06.10 = Country charm
My mother has more than just a green thumb. We tell her the green has moved all the way up from her thumb to her hand to her arm. The woman can grow ANYTHING! I mean it anything. Her Christmas cactus has to be 15 years old and blooms year round. Her orchids are stunning and always have blooms and buds on them. I recall many years ago, I brought home a small plant from school, wrapped in a wet paper towel; it became a large bush in their backyard. I’m telling you, The Barb can grow anything. Her flower garden is full of color and is in bloom from early spring to fall. Butterflies and bees are always flying about, getting their sweet taste. It’s a beautiful place that welcomes you in with all its beautiful colors and smells and a touch of country charm.

on September 7, 2010I like the view through the small windmill of the flowers beyond.
Lovely story of your thoughts on your mother's green thumb. My Dad was the plant person at our house, and everything I know came from him.
