Having sat on both sides of the fence now, I'm not sure which is more fun; being the kid who actually dresses up and trick-or-treating, or the adult, watching everyone else dress up and passing out the candy. I remember as a kid, my mom spent weeks sewing our costumes. It was all about the costume at that age. As I got older, it was less about the costume and more about, who could haul-in the most candy. I've watched my nieces and nephews all go through those stages now too, which is really scary. We don’t have any little trick-or-treaters in the family any more, so passing out the candy will suffice for now until the next generation of ghosts and goblins, and we get to do all over again!
