As I sit here trying to find the words to express my deep sadness, I realize, there are no words, just feelings and many tears. My family lost one of our dearest friends suddenly on Wednesday. It's moments like this that make you really think and evaluate life. You realize just how very precious it is and in our busy daily lives, we really need to make the time to laugh with our friends a little louder, talk to each other a little more often and when saying good-bye, hug each other just little longer. Little moments can make life lasting memories. Family and friends are our most treasured gifts.
" A time it was
And what a time it was
A time of innocence
A time of confidences
Long ago it must be
I have a photograph
Preserve your memories
They're all that's left you." Bookends by Simon & Garfunkel

on August 9, 2014Well said sentiment. I could add, never take for granted that the last words, looks, touches when you part from a loved one aren't the last ones you'll ever share. That there'll always be other opportunities to say and show how you feel.
