04.12.13 = Flashback Friday - Hanging On
1976; the days of running and playing made-up games like war and Little House On The Prairie, to roller-skating, riding bikes and skateboards. Nothing too death defying mind you, but we did get a little banged up every now and then and still have some of the scars to prove it. This was just one of those little things my sister and I did on our skateboards. Our driveway had a small hill and we would sit at the top on our skateboards, holding on to one another and go down the hill to the street. Luckily we didn’t live on a busy street. We also figured out that we could steer the boards by one of us leaning in while the other leaned out. We've always worked together that way. We used to alternate times in the bathroom; I'd give her my salad, she'd give me her green beans; I help her transport a new gas grill, she makes me dinner. It always works out between us and all the while, just hanging on.
