04.08.11 = Tickled Purple Today the air is a Spring cool and smells sweet from the soft lingering showers. Spring is gently tapping at my window. Mrs. Robin and Mr. Cardinal are singing for my attention as Mr. Squirrel nervously feasts on the sunflower seeds. As the fickle breeze swings by, you know where it’s been; it’s tickled my purple hyacinth in my garden below and brought it up to my window. The smell is so sweet you can almost taste the purple. I breath deep as to savor the moment, knowing all the while, all be gone as I exhale. I’ve been tickled purple by Spring!
10.13.10 = Fall color This time of year the color changes with every hour. Some flowers are dying out while others are coming out. The leaves on the trees are changing so quickly. I drove past a grove of trees on Monday with beautiful color. I went back yesterday late afternoon to shoot it; it was gone. They already had their moment in the sun. “While beauty is fleeting; character is building”
