05.26.15 = Fragrant "To be overcome by the fragrance of flowers is a delectable form of defeat." ~Beverly Nichols
06.06.13 = Past It's Prime? Easy come, easy go. I've been watching my peony's age in the vase for a week or so now. The fluffy soft, white petals are drying out and turning a beautiful antiqued brown. What was once a fragrant flowery smell has turned to a soft vanilla like smell. Each flower and petal has become more unique in it's own way, with a wonderful texture and color. It's been fascinating watching each flower age and turn more interesting with time. They are still beautiful, just in a different way. It's true that youth will age and change, but it seems we all become a more unique version of ourselves. "Be on the alert to recognize your prime at whatever time in your life it may occur." Muriel Spark
"Flowers are the sweetest things God ever made and forgot to put a soul into." Henry Beecher
