09.13.10 = A common thread
I was on FB yesterday and noticed that I lost a friend. Not lost exactly, I was “unfriended” by someone. What the heck? Who and why had they unfriended me? Had they seen far too many butterfly photo’s and just couldn’t take it anymore? Maybe it was the insane asylum photo. I did get a rather nasty message about it on my website. Since they posted the message anonymously, I felt there was no need to explain myself and hit my favorite button, “delete”. I thought about it yesterday as I wondered through an art show and come to the conclusion that I had wasted too much time thinking about it. Let it go. I feel that I have a common thread with all my friends out on FB. Whether you’re family or an old friend from High School. A work friend or a customer or one of my many photography friends from around the world whom I’ve never met. There is a common thread that we have that holds us together. I may not agree with some of the things that friends post, such as their political views or that they need help in Mafia Wars, but I think that’s a part of friendships and all relationships. That base thread still holds us together even when we disagree. But, I guess in this case, the thread just broke. Tie it off and start anew.
